Job Description

10 years in a senior/ managerial role within the accounting department

BA in Accounting & Finance from a reputable university or an Equivalent technical degree

Holder of CPA, CFA, CMA is a big plus

Working with accounting system for a minimum of 7 years

(preferably NAVISION/ Business Central)

Expert in Microsoft (specifically Excel)

  • Audit all accounting department activities and take immediate corrective action as and when needed
  • Maintain and update an accurate log of all accounting data
  • Issue profit & loss statements
  • Follow up on general ledger reconciliation (bank, credit cards, etc.)
  • Establish internal control to maintain financial security
  • Issue and control all payment transactions and expenses
  • Follow up on & coordinate the collection process
  • Constantly liaise with the audit firm and provide them with periodical reports as and when required
  • Audit all accounting department tasks
  • Verify posted journal entries (sales, purchases, expenses, debit & credit notes, invoices, etc.)
  • Review reconciliations
  • Issue financial statements
  • Investigate any stock difference for consignments, report them and initiate solutions
  • Evaluate financial reporting system and suggest and implement necessary changes
  • Understand legislations to ensure compliance and avoid legal challenges
  • Continuously assess organization’s compliance with legislations, and stay-up-to-date with new laws, recommend and immediately implement corrective action
  • Prepare and submit required declarations/ reports by the Ministry of Finance and the National Security fund in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy of information
  • Prepare annual departmental budgets and ensure abidance by set budgets
  • Schedule monthly/ quarterly & annual expenditures
  • Recommend policies & procedures to optimize productivity and ensure smooth flow of work
